This week’s episode delves into my interesting health journey. Where I started from, which was not healthy at all, to where I ended up and what got me there. Some of you may not be interested in this topic, but I challenge you to come on this journey with me anyways. Health and fitness was not something I cared about - at all, but when I landed in emergency, it was something I quickly had to acknowledge and fix. I’ve always been a skinny, tiny person, but skinny doesn’t always mean healthy. I want to explain the balance I found in my life, and why I think you should too.
Key Points:
The health and fitness industry can sometimes feel intimidating: you’re either with us with a six pack, or you’re against us with a six pack of donuts
Skinny doesn’t always mean healthy
High school is ridiculous - end point.
Why is it so much more affordable to put garbage in your body, that fresh, proper produce?
I was found unconscious in a soccer field in the middle of winter, when I learned I was anemic and prone to leukemia
I have chronic migraines and I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy
My body naturally repels against migraine triggers: chocolate, alcohol, wine
Eight glasses of water a day is a good starting point, but take half your body weight in ounces, and that’s how much I think you should drink
Add an extra 5 oz for every 15 minutes of exercise
Chiropractic care works for me
Winnipeg is known for our delicious, local restaurants
Thank the universe for Pinterest, when trying to revamp your diet to being more healthy
It’s possible to enjoy working towards a long life
I just believe in living a balanced lifestyle
Beating yourself up over a piece of cheesecake you had last week, isn’t what healthy is to me
Mentioned in this Episode:
FitBit App - you don’t need a fitbit to use it

Josh Billings: Health is like money, we never have a true idea of its’ value, until we lose it
